01 Who this covers
This policy describes how IMPACC Developments Corporation — “IMPACC”, “we”, “us” — collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use impaccenergy.com, including the system design tool at /build, or when you speak with our sales or service teams.
It applies to homeowners, prospective customers and site visitors. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, or to the separate privacy practices of lenders and financing partners, which are governed by their own policies.
02 What we collect

Most of this you give us directly. Roof characteristics are derived from Google’s aerial survey data using the address you supply. Technical information is collected automatically by our hosting provider.
We do not collect biometric identifiers, precise device geolocation, or information from children.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects without human involvement. Financing decisions are made by lenders, not by us.
04 Text messages and calls
We do not share mobile telephone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is sold. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except with subcontracted service providers that help us deliver the messages themselves, and those providers are prohibited from using the information for any other purpose.
When you give your telephone number and check the consent box on a booking or contact form, you agree that IMPACC may contact you by telephone call and text message at that number about your solar project, including appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling changes and follow-up.
What to expect
- Message frequency varies with the stage of your project. Most customers receive a small number of messages around each appointment.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP at any time to end text messages. Reply HELP for assistance, or call 214-500-8878.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing anything from us. Opting out of texts does not stop transactional communication necessary to complete work you have already asked us to do, and does not stop email.
05 Credit prequalification
If you request a prequalification, we pass your name, contact details, property address, the last four digits of your Social Security number and the details of your proposed system to the financing partner you selected — currently LightReach (Palmetto) for Power Purchase Plans and Climate First Bank, through OneEthos, for loans.
That partner performs a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. A prequalification is not an application for credit and is not a commitment to lend. Any subsequent application, and any hard inquiry it involves, is between you and the lender under their terms and privacy policy.
We transmit the last four digits of your Social Security number to the lender and retain them nowhere. They are not written to our customer records, not included in internal notifications, and not stored in our systems.

Service providers act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes. We may also transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will tell you.
07 Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and to understand aggregate usage. We do not run advertising networks or cross-site behavioural advertising on this site. You can block cookies in your browser; parts of the design tool may not work if you do.
We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
08 Your rights
Texas residents
Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act you may ask us to confirm whether we process your personal data and give you access to it, correct inaccuracies, delete it, provide a portable copy, or stop processing it for targeted advertising, sale, or profiling with legal effects. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
To exercise a right, email privacy@impaccenergy.com or call 214-500-8878. We will respond within 45 days and may extend once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, telling you why. We may need to verify your identity first. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if we deny the appeal you may complain to the Texas Attorney General.
Other states we serve
We extend the same access, correction and deletion rights to residents of every state we serve — Texas, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and Louisiana — whether or not local law requires it.
Everyone
You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message, and stop text messages by replying STOP. We may keep records we are required to keep for tax, warranty, incentive-programme or legal reasons even after a deletion request, and will tell you when that applies.
09 How long we keep it
Design enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months. Customer project records are kept for the life of the system plus the period required by warranty, incentive-programme and tax rules, which for Illinois Shines participants extends through the 15-year delivery contract. Records we are legally required to retain are kept for the statutory period.
10 Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and vendors with their own security programmes. Sensitive financial identifiers are passed straight to the lender rather than stored. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the appropriate authorities of a breach affecting your personal information as the law requires.
11 Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email privacy@impaccenergy.com and we will delete it.
12 Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell customers by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised policy.
